As a 2024 artist in residence at the Bayside City Council’s Billilla Outdoor Arts Lab, Olivia was able to spend two weeks developing work on site in the beautiful Billilla Gardens, Bayside.

Olivia was joined by collaborator electroacoustic bassoonist George Worthy to produce several culminating works for the lab.

This work continued Olivia’s exploration of electroacoustic performance, site specific sound ecologies in which the sound art reflects the location - sometimes via the use of electronics such as sound processing and sampling, and the practicalities of presenting electroacoustic work in live environments. The lab was invaluable in enabling the growth of Olivia’s practice, and in providing development time and space for Cevanne as an ensemble and concept.
